FEATURED BEER DINNER: Divino Italian Restaurant and Pike Brewing

Chef Patrick McCray and Pike Brewing

Houston Beer Week met Charles & Rose Finkel, owners of Pike Brewing at GABF and they were THRILLED to hear that Divinos would be mounting this dinner with their beers. They are BIG fans of this restaurant. Enjoy the carefully prepared in-house specialities of Chef Patrick McCray and the made-to-be-paired-with-food beers from Pike Brewing. Of special note, Pike is bringing two verticals of their barleywines, including Old Bawdy just for the occassion. Because Pike brews their beers with food pairings in mind, the beers will pair wonderfully with this evening’s Italian cuisine.

Just got back from the Divinos dinner. Ohhhh….thankyou chef Andy and chef Patrick for putting together such a delightful experience. This dinner was so worth the effort.

A patron tonight was quoted giving the dinner “5 moans”. There were many sounds of joy heard by myself throughout the evening and i think everyone left beyond satisfied.

Houston beer week just keeps getting better.
And thanks Cathy for stopping by.

Divinos/Pike Brewing dinner was ridiculously fantastic. First off, Scott from Duff was a great host…pouring some wonderful beers and giving us some interesting information on each of the beers and Pike Brewing. As for the food, Divinos has always come through on that front, and last night was no exception…beyond the food being wonderful, it paired so well with the beer that it might have been one of the best beer pairing dinners I’ve ever been to….and I’ve been to quite a few. Obviously Chef Patrick and Andy took the time and care to figure out what paired well with each beer. Houston Beer Week has really delivered….
