Best of the Inner Loop
HBW starts on Saturday and I couldn’t be more excited for the events going on all around town. But since I’m a loop snob, I’m especially excited for some of the amazing events inside the loop.
A full list is below, but I want to highlight a few events that I’m intending to go to myself, as I think they are exemplary HBW events:
- Obviously I’m super excited for the kickoff “Local Brews, Local Grooves” event at House of Blues. Some new-to-me music, some excellent brews, this is gonna be an awesome event.
- And earlier on that same day, there’s no chance I’ll miss the annual Flying Saucer Garage Sale. Last year I bought two Uinta signs for $5 each. They’re awesome.
- Sunday I intend to check out the Dairymaids cheese pairing for BB9 at Siphon Coffee. I haven’t been to Siphon before and this is a great opportunity to check out a new place and get some cheese!
- There’s going to be a glass blower working magic in person at the 4:20 @ Revelry event and that’s all I need to know about that.
- I’m definitely gonna have to check out the Buffalo Bayou event at Mongoose vs Cobra, so as to get some of that aged Black Razz goodness and try the Saigon Sunset, which I haven’t seen before.
- As good as all those events are gonna be, I gotta say I’m probably most excited for Flying Saucer’s Westside Connection event. Alpine… Sierra Nevada… Firestone Walker… Green Flash… Ballast Point… Stone… North Coast… “I’m going going back back to Cali Cali.”
