We get a lot of great comments about the “beer girl” there to your left. Before Houston Beer Week 2010, when we were putting the previous version of this site together, Sixpoint Brewing up in Brooklyn advertised a design contest. While scrolling through the various contest entries, one in particular caught our eye- a Brooklyn-based illustrator by the name of Anthony “Ant” Picone.
We contacted Ant, agreed to a design fee, and shipped him a bunch of Texas beer. Since then, he’s been featured in the Brookston Beer Bulletin,and apparently he’s a big deal in Taiwan? We asked him to design a classy Houston gal that loves beer, and that’s exactly what he returned.
