Houston Beer Week is an 8-day community event that encourages bars, restaurants, retail establishments, distributors and breweries to create unique craft beer-related events throughout the Houston metro at various establishments, inside and outside of the loop. We hope that you will enjoy the events and incredible beers that will be available, and continue to patronize and encourage establishments to serve craft beer all year-round.
Houston Beer Week has two goals:
Support craft beer in Texas: We strive to introduce more individuals to the world of craft beer by encouraging events that highlight craft beer allowing individuals to try craft beers, perhaps for the first time. As the saying goes, a rising tide raises all ships — the more craft beer we consume as a community, the more craft beer will be distributed in our community.
Support our community through charitable works: We have partnered with Live It BIG, Inc. – a 501(c)(3) charity organization that has historically managed the Monsters of Beer Charity Festival. In 2012, we combined this festival with our rare beer event to form The Draft. In 2013, we partnered with the Untapped Festival to bring their rocking beer event as the anchor to beer week. In 2015, the possibilities are endless.
“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline – it helps if you have some kind of football team, or some nuclear weapons but at the very least you need a beer” – Frank Zappa
